3D Sensing Module Case: 940 nm VCSEL Emitter Selection
A demo case note on choosing wavelength, beam profile, package, and driver assumptions for a compact ToF depth module.
A compact ToF module starts with optical requirements, not a product SKU. The engineering team needs wavelength, field of view, pulse mode, thermal boundary, eye-safety target, and package constraints before selecting the emitter.
In this demo case, a 940 nm packaged VCSEL emitter is paired with controlled divergence optics and a driver approach that keeps the prototype path open for later pilot assembly.
